Terms of use

1. Non-custodial wallet

SafeX Wallet is software that runs on your device. You create or import the recovery phrase there. SafeX does not hold your funds, does not take custody of your keys, and does not operate an account that can spend on your behalf.

SafeX cannot see, request, move, freeze, or hold your funds, recovery phrase, or private keys. There is no support path that recovers a wallet for you. If you lose the recovery phrase and the password, the wallet on that device cannot be restored by SafeX or by anyone else.

2. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the recovery phrase (the seed), the password or PIN, and the device. Write the phrase down offline. Do not send it to anyone, including someone claiming to be SafeX.
• You are responsible for checking the recipient address, the network, and the amount before you approve a send or a swap. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. SafeX cannot cancel, reverse, or refund a transaction after it is broadcast.
• You are responsible for the sites you open in the dApp browser and for any WalletConnect session you approve.

3. What the software does

The apps can show public balances, build a transaction on your device, and broadcast a transaction you have already signed. Bitcoin sends are signed on the device and broadcast through a public Bitcoin API. Swap quotes come from third-party quote services; the swap transaction is still signed on your device. There is no fiat on-ramp in the app.

Prices, balances, and fee estimates come from public network and market APIs. They can be missing, delayed, or wrong. A displayed price is not an offer to buy or sell.

4. No financial advice, and no security promises

Nothing in SafeX Wallet is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Crypto assets can lose all of their value. You can lose funds by sending them to the wrong address, approving a malicious site, or losing the recovery phrase.

SafeX Wallet does not provide insurance, and it is not a bank. The software can fail. A device compromise, a phishing site, or a mistake in an approval can still lose funds.

5. Admin console

The operator console at admin.safexwallet.cloud is separate software. It does not receive wallet secrets and it cannot sign, move, freeze, or hold user funds. Operator sign-in stores the operator email and an audit log. That console is not a custody service.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use SafeX Wallet to violate the law that applies to you. Do not attempt to extract another person’s keys, and do not send a recovery phrase or private key to SafeX.

7. Changes

These terms can be updated by posting a new version at safexwallet.cloud/terms with a new effective date. The software is provided as available. Network providers and quote services can fail or change without notice.
